It gives me an immense pleasure to welcome each one of you to the 71st annual conference of
Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India (APPI) Conference –
2025, organized by KLE Academy of Higher Education & Research, Belagavi, Karnataka.
The APPI was founded in 1957 with visionary aims and objectives to facilitate training and
opportunities to share the evidence-based research findings during national conferences organized
by APPI. During the conference, our members will be given with an umpteen number of
opportunities to present their advanced research findings in physiology, pharmacology, and allied
sciences in India/abroad. This year is yet another milestone in our shared mission to bridge the gap
between science and practice for the benefit of human health.
The association has more than 1500 members all over the country/globe and it is my pleasure to
be part of the community built over the years that thrives on promoting focused discussions on
evidence-based research findings and collaborations. Currently, we have eight active local chapters
and many more in the pipeline, which will be launched during the forthcoming conference in
Belagavi.
As the Secretary General, it is my pleasure to invite all our scientists, postgraduates, and
undergraduates to submit your recent research work and encourage your colleagues to participate
in the conference. I am confident that each scientific session designed by the organizing team from
Belagavi will spark inspiration and ignite participation to renew your evidence-based research
knowledge, thus efficiently enhancing research and teaching skills in health sciences. Also, I

The theme for conduct of conference by Association of Physiologist and Physiologist (APPI), Belagavi Branch to conduct 71ST APPICON from 8th, 9th, 10th to 12th October 2025 is “Physiologist and Pharmacologist for a Fit and Healthy India”. The theme is in continuation with the World Health Organization (WHO) theme for World Health Day 2024 of “My Health, my Right,” emphasizing the fundamental human right to health.
At the outset as a Co-Chairperson I would like to welcome one and all for this prestigious conference being conducted by Department of Physiology, J N Medical College which is a constituent unit of self-sustainable and eco-friendly campus of KAHER (Deemed to be University), Belagavi, Karnataka, India. The J N Medical College with a rich legacy spanning more than 50 years is renowned for its academics par excellence in health-care.
I, along with the Chairperson would like to invite all the delegates, Resource Person, to the event. We would like to thank the organization APPI for giving us and the office-bearers of this committee an opportunity to conduct the conference.
